A simple price decision

If the keep is less than you need, raise the price or remove a cost. Do not ignore the gap.
If your time is not in the sum, you are not being paid for the hour.
If a discount makes the keep negative, do not publish that sale.

Country defaults are compiled from publicly described Etsy seller-fee pages, including the Fees & Payments Policy, as of 29 September 2026. Those sources can change. Our copy may contain errors, omissions, rounding, currency-conversion estimates, or delayed updates.

Results are estimates, not a statement of the amount Etsy will deduct, your tax position, or actual profit. Listing fees in local currency are estimates of Etsy’s $0.20 USD listing fee. Canada’s regulatory default is 0.50%, as shown on Etsy’s regulatory-fee help page — confirm on your bill. The UK regulatory default is 0.48%; older help pages still show 0.32%.

Offsite Ads, currency conversion, and deposit fees are optional lines. They are off unless you tick them. A deposit fee is not charged on every sale. Sales tax collected from buyers, refunds, Etsy Ads (onsite), Pattern, Etsy Plus, and chargebacks are not fully modelled unless you type them in.

What we have not confirmed

Nothing on this site is a promise of the amount Etsy will deduct, the profit you will make, or the tax you owe. If your Payment account differs, the account wins.

Listing amounts in a local currency are an estimate of Etsy’s $0.20 USD listing fee. Etsy does not publish that fee in every currency. Offsite Ads caps in a local currency are an estimate of the published $100 USD cap.

United States territories are listed by Etsy as their own entry. The Payments Policy checked on 29 September 2026 had no separate processing rate for them. Those boxes are left blank. We do not confirm a rate, and we do not apply the UK rate.

Deposit fees are copied from Etsy’s payment-processing table as checked on 29 September 2026. They are off unless you tick the box. They are not charged on every sale. For Vietnam, that table shows a 45,000 VND fee when a deposit is under 2,300,000 VND.

A country set to Other, or any rate you type yourself, is your figure. We have not checked it.

The country you choose at checkout does not set the £12 price, the Etsy fee estimate, or any tax. Stripe may add VAT, GST, or sales tax on Stripe’s own page. We do not calculate that tax and we have not confirmed the amount.
